PDC Program Examples & Highlights

The Hanahau‘oli Professional Development Center again offers a Summer Institute experience designed and shared by teachers, for teachers

The Institute for Thematic Instruction provides the understanding needed to design and use an interdisciplinary instructional approach.

The Institute includes theory and foundations, hands-on learning experiences, thematic lesson examples and observation, and built-in time for unit design with coaching--all provided by practitioners dedicated to making this a powerful learning experience in order to increase student engagement and deepen learning.

The Institute is open to Independent, DOE and Charter school educators, including Pre-K-12 teachers, those in resource/support roles, coaches and administrators. LIMITED FUNDING IS AVAILABLE for DOE and Charter School teachers to attend, and this course may be taken with a portfolio option to earn (3) PD credits.

Contact PDC@hanahauoli.org for information.
Dates for the 2018 Institute for Thematic Instruction will be announced later this year.
