Hanahau`oli `Ohana FunFest
Saturday, November 15, 2008
10 am till 3 pm
The FunFest took place on November 15 between 10am and 3pm. It was a day full of fun, laughs and thankfully, sunshine. Parents enjoyed the White Elephant Sale, Country Store and Bake Shop. The school welcomed back many, many! alumni who stopped by to work, play or shop.
Thank you to our hard-working families, alumni and friends who helped to make all these wonderful rides and events happen at the FunFest:
- Ride 'Um Cowboy Pony Rides - Always a favorite with kids and a perfect photo op for parents!
- Carnival Games - Skills were tested with these kid-friendly games. Prizes galore!
- White Elephant Sale - This popular shopping experience was back once again. The price is always right!
- Laulima Country Store - All sorts of goodies to entice you this year: homemade mango chutney, seasoning mixes, handmade jewelry, fresh produce and more.
- Waiola Shave Ice - The one and only, best shave ice in Hawaii!
- Hanahau`oli-style Ono Grinds - Freshly made tempura handrolls by Sansei chef, D.K. Kodama. Tantalizing treats by Town chef, Ed Kenney. FunFest wouldn't be complete without hamburgers and hotdogs!
- Sensational You Spa - Full-service spa with face painting, nail design and top it off with a new hairdo!
- Crazy Crafts - A moment of quiet and rest while your kids created a masterpiece to take home.
- Tasty Treat Bakery - After the pony rides and carnival games, baked goods from Hanahau`oli families beckoned.
- Yogurt Time - Cool off with yogurt and all the toppings!
- The Entertainers - Talented kids and adults (and alumni!) kept up the festive atmosphere with continuous live entertainment.
The Hanahau`oli Children’s Fair is a fund raiser (for financial aid and classroom projects), but more importantly, the event is a ‘friend-raiser.” Hanahau’oli’s signature community-building event is designed to bring keiki and families from the school, neighboring communities, and across the island together.
Free parking was provided at
Roosevelt
High School
, with a courtesy shuttle to Hanahau’oli.
We'll see you next year!
