Campbell Family Gallery Art Opening AHA! Hosted an Art Gallery opening on February 18, 2009. A call for art was sent to alumni, former faculty and parents who are considered "professional" artists to display their work in the new gallery. Invitations to attend the gallery opening were sent to Hawaii alumni from the classes of 1940-2002. Sixteen alumni and 12 members of the extended Hanahau`oli `ohana displayed a total of 40 pieces of artwork. An additional 12 pieces were donated for the 90th anniversary auction. A wonderful turnout of 73 guests attended the pupu reception opening; a few alumni had not been back to campus since graduating! The evening was highlighted by current Hanahau`oli students playing their violins with Orchestra teacher Matthew Keating on the gallery landing. |
