Hanahau`oli 2009 Children’s Fair
a Magical
Success!
Hanahau`oli’s Children’s Fair was a magical day!
November 14 dawned a bit damp but skies cleared and children and families
appeared and everyone had a delightful time. The Fair was a magic themed
community event that brought neighbors, families, alumni, old friends and new to
the campus for a day of Abracadabra Eats, a magic show, Merlin’s Pony Rides,
Sorcerer’s Carnival Games and the amazing Magician’s Closet (aka White Elephant
Sale) and Fairy Dust Alley (aka craft vendors). As always, the Presto Chango
Spa (face painting and colorful hair creations) was a highlight for many
children, young and old!
The parents of Hui Hanahau`oli did a wondorous job of transforming the campus into a fair ground and volunteering their time, hard work and creativity to make this day a spectacularly successful event. Special thanks go to fair chairs Stephanie Buck, Rose Chismar and Angela Lee and mahalo to all the families who particpated to make this Fair a magical one for all.
